Theo Ubique's sell-out hit of Some Enchanted Evening: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein will close June 5. The extension has forced cancellation this season of the theatre company's next production, The George M. Cohan Revue, originally scheduled for May 13-July 3.
Nearly all seats are sold for the remainder of the regular run ending April 30 with a few seats available on Thursdays. During the extension, May 6-June 5, performances will be at 8 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays and 7 p.m., Sundays. Thursday performances are eliminated during the extension."We were inundated with ticket requests by people who couldn't get in to see it, and we didn't want to turn away these patrons," said Fred Anzevino, artistic director and the show's director. "It was a difficult decision to cancel the Cohan revue, and the decision wasn't made lightly." The entire cast is remaining through the extension, including music director, pianist and singer Austin Cook along with Evan Tyrone Martin, Sara Schoch, Danni Smith, Dana Tretta and Jeremy Trager.Videos
