"Kate Loprest at The Music Theatre Company" plays tonight, June 8, 2012 at 7:30pm.
Loprest has performed on Broadway in WONDERLAND, in HAIRSPRAY (as Amber), XANADU, and THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. She toured with LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE as Nellie Oleson and recently finished an Off-Broadway run of SISTAS!
Loprest was born and bred in Deerfield, IL and is proud to call it home. She trained as a young actress at Apple Tree Theatre in Highland Park and made her professional theatrical debut there as Young Vi in VIOLET, directed by Eileen Boevers. She attended The University of Michigan's prestigious Musical Theatre program, and upon graduation returned home to join the cast of WICKED in Chicago (as Glinda/Nessarose u/s). Kate enjoys a successful career performing on Broadway, in various theatres around the country and in Television and Film, where her credits include "Boardwalk Empire," "All My Children," "Running Wilde," and Made for Each Other.
