Cecilie Keenan Directs the side project's JOAN'S LAUGHTER, Beg. Tonight 5/13

Rogers Park-based theatre company, the side project, will present the World Premiere of Joan's Laughter, written by Jacob Juntunen and helmed by Cecile Keenan, as part of its three-show Spring Repertory starting tonight, May 13. 

Joan's Laughter, the story of Joan of Arc's final hour, opens Wednesday, May 16 and runs Fridays at 9pm, Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through June 17, with an additional performance on Joan's Feast day, Wednesday May 30 at 7:30pm. "Joan had always brought up vague ideas of Christian martyrdom and religious fanaticism but having come to know this Joan, I have come to admire and identify with a woman who is sure of her individual power," Director Cecile Keenan said."She is a self-motivated, empowered, modern woman and, as such, we should pay attention to her fight for individualism," she added.
