This holiday season the Ware Center of Millersville University will feature The Vatican Museums, an extraordinary presentation of the world's greatest collection of art on the big screen. For the first time ever, 4K film cameras have been allowed inside the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, taking audiences on an unforgettable journey to discover some of the most striking works of art collected by the Popes for over 500 years. The Ware Center is the only venue in Lancaster showing this incredible film. Tickets are now on sale for screenings on December 10, 2014 and December 13, 2014. The Ware Center is located at 42 N. Prince Street, Lancaster.

The Vatican Museums will take audiences from the outstanding artistry of classic statues to the cast of Michelangelo's Pietà, right up to Fontana's modern sculptures; from paintings by Giotto, Leonardo da Vinci, Van Gogh, Chagall and Dalì; from the extraordinary frescos in the Rooms of Raphael to the spectacular work of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. Audiences will experience the journey under the artful guidance of the Director of the Vatican Museums, Professor Antonio Paolucci, who expertly leads viewers through the past, present and future.

This fully-immersive experience also includes a behind-the scenes look at never-before-seen art, exclusive interviews with Professor Paolucci; the film's director, Marco Pianigiani; and the director of photography, as they recall the challenges and triumphs involved in the making of this masterpiece. Tickets for this film can be purchased by visiting ArtsMU.com, contacting the box office (717) 871-7600, or by visiting the Ware Center.
