Theatre Harrisburg Presents A CHRISTMAS STORY, 11/07-23

By:

Theatre Harrisburg presents live, on stage at Whitaker Center, the original version of the popular movie classic A CHRISTMAS STORY. Favorite scenes will come to life with Ralphie, his Red Ryder BB gun, the frozen flagpole and even the iconic leg lamp. Opening Friday, November 7, other performances are scheduled for November 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22 & 23. Showtimes are Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8:00 p.m., Saturday November 8 & 22 at 2:00 p.m. and November 15 at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. This production is sponsored by Highmark Blue Shield.

Theatre Harrisburg takes its slogan "Where Community Takes Center Stage!" very seriously and recognizes that current economic conditions make it difficult for many of their friends and neighbors in Central Pennsylvania to enjoy live theatre. That's why ticket prices for A CHHRISTMAS STORY have been kept very low. In fact, every seat in the house for all three opening weekend performances (November 7 - 9) is only $20. Beyond that, tickets are still a very reasonable $25. Tickets may be purchased by visiting or calling the Whitaker Center box office at (717) 214-ARTS.

A CHRISTMAS STORY stars Ed Toyer as Ralph, Alex Winnick as Ralphie, Ann Ariano as Mother, Jeff Rensch as The Old Man, Seth Winnick as Randy, Jacqueline Goodwin as Miss Shields, Peter Ariano as Flick, Connor Coyle as Scut Farkas, Logan Uhrich as Schwartz, Kassidy Kramer as Helen and Julia Toyer as Esther. Also in the ensemble are Anthony Ariano, Nicoletta Ariano, Kaylee Kramer and William O'Donnell. The entire production is under the direction of Dan Burke.

Theatre Harrisburg will also be holiday raffle in conjunction with its production of A CHRISTMAS STORY. Before, during intermission & after each performance, raffle tickets, priced at only $1.00 each, will be available in the Whitaker Center lobby. 1st prize - An authentic, full-sized leg lamp. 2nd prize - A Red Ryder BB gun. 3rd prize - A CHRISTMAS STORY movie gift basket. Tickets are also available in person at the Theatre office.

A CHRISTMAS STORY at Theatre Harrisburg - a delightful holiday activity that family members of all ages can enjoy together, from grandchildren to grandparents. So put on your bunny pajamas. We triple-dog dare you to join us...just be careful not to shoot your eye out!
