The Totem Pole Playhouse and Gettysburg Community Theatre are partnering up to present the FREE children's play AESOP'S FABLES at Totem Pole Playhouse at 10am on Saturdays, July 5, 12, 26, and August 2, 2014. These performances are FREE to the public.

The cast features professional actor/Totem Pole Playhouse Camp Director, Charlie O'Rourke, along with Totem Pole Playhouse Interns Hannah Hughes, Jack Nehemias, and Bryton Zook. Also featured in the ensemble cast are students of Gettysburg Community Theatre including: Jordyn Keefauver, Noelle Totis, Tori Keefauver, Alyssa Black, Haley Quillen-Knox, Brenna Yingling, Tanner Lake, Joshua Finn Herr, Julianna Hazlett, Aidan Baker-Miller, and Harrison Crow. This production for Totem Pole Playhouse is directed by Chad-Alan Carr, who is the Founding Executive/Artistic Director of Gettysburg Community Theatre.

"GCT is honored", says Carr, "to be a partner in the arts with Totem Pole Playhouse, and be asked to have our students work with the great team of professional actors and crew at Totem Pole and to be on the same stage that so many legendary professional actors of days gone by have performed to so many people for decades."

AESOP'S FABLES, fully sponsored by Adams Electric Cooperative Inc., is this year's FREE interactive children's play for Totem Pole and is brief and perfect for all ages. The play includes the fables of "The Fox And The Crow", "The Tortoise And The Hare", "The Donkey In The Lion Skin", and "The Fox And The Sour Grapes". Day care, camps, families, the young and the young at heart are encouraged to visit Totem Pole Playhouse America's beloved summer theatre, located in Caledonia State Park between Chambersburg and Gettysburg, PA, at 9555 Golf Course Rd, Fayetteville, PA 17222 (less than a half hour from downtown Gettysburg) to see the beautiful grounds, the now air-conditioned theatre, and even pack a picnic for the lawn after the free show.

Also at Totem Pole Playhouse this summer season is Ring Of Fire, The Foreigner, and Godspell, while Gettysburg Community Theatre will be presenting The Velveteen Rabbit, Little Women, and Charlotte's Web at their theatre at 49 York Street in downtown Gettysburg.
