Servant Stage Partners with Lancaster County Christian School to Offer Two Summer Youth Theatre Camps

Servant Stage Company will be partnering with Lancaster County Christian School this summer to offer two intensive musical theatre camps this summer for students ages 10-18.

Students will rehearse and perform a full-length student production and participate in daily workshops and masterclasses with a camp staff of experienced theatre professionals. Both camps will be directed by Servant Stage Artistic Director, Wally Calderon.

"We've seen tremendous growth and excitement in our youth theatre programs over the past several years," says Calderon. He has worked in various professional and youth theatre settings, including the highly credited Stagedoor Manor in upstate New York, the Miracle Theatre in Pigeon Forge, TN, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, NH, and most recently directing and choreographing Sight & Sound Theatres' productions of Jonah and Miracle of Christmas. "We're excited to partner with Lancaster County Christian School this summer as we continue to expand the summer camps. Last year's camps had a huge impact on students, staff, and the community!"

More than 90 students attended Servant Stage's theatre camps last year. Camps run from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day and students will perform their production for family, friends and the neighboring community.

Seussical, Jr. (June 18-27, 2018) | Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat, and all of your favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical Jr., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Into the Woods Jr. (July 9-18) | Stephen Sondheim's and James Lapine's cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award®-winning musical, weaving together the stories of Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk), and other classic Brothers Grimm tales.

Both camps will be held on the campus of Lancaster County Christian School, 2390 New Holland Pike Lancaster. Parents are encouraged to register early, as spots are limited and both camps are expected to reach capacity.
