I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT...NOW CHANGE Opens Friday At Millbrook Playhouse
The Board of Directors and Artistic Director, David Leidholdt, are proud to present the final main stage production of the 55th anniversary season, I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE PERFECT... NOW CHANGE, book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, playing from August 3rd to 12th.
This celebration of the mating game takes on the truths and myths behind that contemporary conundrum know as 'the relationship.' It starts by exploring the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage, then moves on to reveal the agonies and triumphs of in-laws and newborns, trips in the family car and pick-up techniques of the geriatric set.
This hilarious revue pays tribute to those who have loved and lost, to those who have fallen on their face at the portal of romance, to those who have dared to ask, 'Say, what are you doing Saturday night?' Rated PG-13, some mature content.
The cast and creative team include many of Millbrooks favorite names and faces! The production is directed by Robert W. Schneider (Spamalot, Rock of Ages, Leading Ladies, Showstopper and Millbrook Variety Hour) and features David B. Friedman (Spamalot) as Man 1, Alex Frost (Life Could be a Dream, Seussical, Rocky Horror Show, Baskerville, Leading Ladies) as Woman 1, Katrina Diehm (The Marvelous Wonderettes, Rocky Horror Show, Happy Days, Wizard of Oz, Don't Dress for Dinner) as Woman 2, and welcoming to Millbrook Aaron Gooden as Man 2.
The creative team includes Set Design by Cade Sikora, Costume Design by Michelle Stovall, Lighting Design by Caleb Stroman, Sound Design by Adam Visconti, and Props Design by David Singleton.
Tickets are on sale now at the Millbrook Playhouse in the Ryan Mainstage August 3-4, and 8-11 at 7:30 pm and matinees are Wednesday, August 8 and Sunday, August 5 and 12 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for students and $10 for children. Budget seating available in select seats, $20 for adults, $12 for students, and $8 for children. NEW THIS SEASON: Discounted ticket prices on Wednesday evening and Sunday matinees, all tickets are 10% off. Group rates are available.
