Hershey Area Playhouse to Present DRIFTING
Sponsored by the Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine and the Department of Humanities at Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present Drifting, a new play exploring end-of-life decisions.
When your sister says, "I saw what you used to do in the barn," you listen. When she says it from deep inside a coma, you really listen. A new play by William Doan, Drifting is about siblings who find a way to connect across the great divide of altered consciousness and how they communicate beyond the mind and the senses, making it possible to say goodbye.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, at the Playhouse, located at Sandhill Road and Cherry Drive, Hershey. A "talk back" with clinicians from Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, who specialize in end-of-life decision-making, will follow the performance.
Tickets are $12 for general admission and $8 for students, and senior citizens ages 65 and over. Tickets are available by visiting www.HersheyAreaPlayhouse.com or by calling the Playhouse's box office at 717-533-8525. Note: This production contains adult themes and strong adult language, and is not intended for children.
