Hershey Area Playhouse Presents A CHRISTMAS CAROL

By:

Hershey Area Playhouse is proud to present the first of its two holiday productions, A Christmas Carol, a story about self-redemption, empathy, kindness and love.

Written by Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol features Ebenezer Scrooge, an old man, who is well-known for his mean-spirited and miserly ways. On Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by a series of ghosts, starting with his old business partner, Jacob Marley. The three spirits that follow show Scrooge how his mean behavior has affected those around him. At the end of the story, Scrooge is relieved to discover there is still time for him to change.

"This play is a delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the holiday season reminding us all of Dicken's redeeming message," said director Cory Wilkerson. "This year's telling will add Rick Farr's light and lovely songs to the classic version, creating a play with incidental music."

Bringing this holiday treasure to life, cast members of A Christmas Carol include: Katie Copeland as Christmas Yet to Come/Miss Fezziwig; Kimberly M. Jones, Christmas Past/Featured Company; John Mallonee, Christmas Present/Featured Company; Joe Owsley, Bob Cratchit; Jim Panyard, Marley's Ghost; Renee Seibel, Mrs. Cratchit; Logan Shutt, Tiny Tim/Child Scrooge, and James Willig, Ebenezer Scrooge.
