Gettysburg Community Theatre, the non-profit 501c3 organization located in the original Elks Lodge building at 49 York Street within the first block of Lincoln Square in historic downtown Gettysburg, is currently producing the rock musical The Rocky Horror Show LIVE on stage at 8pm and 11:55pm October 29-31, 2015, Irving Berlin's classic Annie Get Your Gun November 6-15, 2015, and the new stage adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas December 3-13, 2015.

The volunteer based community theatre is always in production, rehearsing the next three shows at the same time, holding auditions for all ages, and offering educational opportunities like their current Improvisational Acting Class with Theatre Professor Karen Land. There are always plenty of volunteer opportunities on and off stage, and GCT is greatly appreciative of any tax-deductible donations that individuals and corporate sponsors can make online or via mail to GCT at any time of the year to help keep our stage door open to everyone.

GCT is thrilled to announce their 2016 "Razzle Dazzle" Season which will open with the hit musical CHICAGO January 22-February 6, 2016 directed/choreographed by Chad-Alan Carr in the style of Bob Fosse, followed by the theatre's annual Broadway Gala (with special guest artists from NYC) on March 5, 2016 to be held at the Gettysburg College Union Ballroom, then March 11-27, 2016 will be an all senior citizen cast production of Once Upon A Mattress (the princess and the pea musical that took Carol Burnett into stardom), April 15-May 1, 2016 GCT will produce an all youth cast edition of Rodgers & Hammerstein's beloved The King And I, then in May (specific dates TBA) GCT will once again produce their annual Penguin Project theatre for youth with special needs/disabilities and peer mentors with the 2016 production of Seussical jr., followed by a new concept black box theatre production of the Tennessee Williams play A Streetcar Named Desire playing June 10-26, 2016. Then in celebration of the 240th anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence, GCT will present the musical 1776 to perform July 15-31, 2016, Broadway veteran Bruce Moore will direct one of the musicals he was in on Broadway, GYPSY at GCT which is scheduled to perform September 16-October 2, 2016, and then the GCT 2016 season will close with an all youth cast production of Shrek jr. November 4-20, 2016, so that GCT can once again have time for the brilliant community partnership with Totem Pole Playhouse and Gettysburg College's Majestic Theatre with Totem Pole's professional production of A Christmas Carol, featuring NYC talent and community adults and children, together on the Majestic stage in December for the next few years.

GCT is so honored to be entering its 8th season in downtown Gettysburg and thanks everyone for their continued support as they help the young and the young at heart to "Find Their Stage Door...And Open It!" Limited reserved seating tickets for GCT productions can be purchased online, and donations and class registrations can also be made online at www.GettysburgCommunityTheatre.org or by calling 717-334-2692.
