Gamut Theatre Opens Season With William Shakespeare's PERICLES

Gamut Theatre Group is thrilled to announce its 2018-19 season will now open with William Shakespeare's exciting and epic saga Pericles, Prince of Tyre. This production will run from November 3 -25 on the Select Medical Mainstage at Gamut's beautiful theatre in downtown Harrisburg. Thomas Weaver, Gamut's Associate Artistic Director and director of Gamut's recent Free Shakespeare in the Park production of A Midsummer Night's Dream, is set to direct.

"Pericles is incredibly timely," said director Thomas Weaver. "It's an adventure spanning the globe that touches on themes very close to home: separated families, refugees, speaking truth to power, and the belief that miracles can and will happen. Plus, there's pirates."

Auditions for Pericles, Prince of Tyre and Robert Penn Warren's All the King's Men will be held at Gamut Theatre July 31 through August 5. Diversity is a must, and all are encouraged to audition. Call 717-238-4111 or email info@gamuttheatre.org to schedule an audition.
