The Toronto branch of Chime Communications is suffering from low morale. With their jobs on the line, five ordinary office workers must mount a team-building talent show to save their jobs.

Together, they must sing, dance and manipulate their way through the talent show where only one will walk away without a pink slip.

Come see all the fun at Hanover Little Theatre, 360 Blooming Grove Road, Hanover. Directed by Sally Chase, the show will have 8 p.m. performances on July 14-15 and 20-22 and 2 p.m. matinees on July 16 and 23.

Funny Business features characters that you will recognize from around the water cooler. The upbeat musical from Daniel Abrahamson (music and lyrics) and Daniel Falk and Rachel Brittain (book) features a catchy, original pop-musical score.

The show contains adult themes and language and is not recommended for children.

The theatre will once again raise funds for a local nonprofit community partner during the production of Funny Business. The partner for this show will be Main Street Hanover.

The theatre will donate $2 for every ticket sold to the Saturday, July 15, show to the Main Street. Matching donations from two anonymous patrons as well as Sommer & O'Donnell - Attorneys at Law will generate an additional $6 for every person attending that performance. Finally, donations for Main Street will be accepted at all seven performances.

The cast features SuzAnne Williamson as Maxine, the lovable yet inappropriate office manager, Adam Bish as Jack, the awkward guitar-playing intern and Sarah Zimmermann as Brie, the perky and scheming receptionist. Mike Jones will play Kevin and the voice of the CEO. Hanover Little Theatre newcomers include Joel Collier as Marcus, the smooth talking sales rep, and Kelly Carroll as Diane, the tough-as-nails marketing manager.

Online tickets are available at www.hanoverlittletheatre.com. You can also call 637-5297 to reserve tickets or visit the box office hours during the hours listed to the left. All tickets are $15. There will be a $2 charge for all phone orders and a $1 charge for any tickets delivered through the mail.
