Back by popular demand Millbrook Playhouse's Artistic Director, David E. Leidholdt has announced the return of Fancy Nancy The Musical.

Meet Nancy, whose biggest dream is to be fancy. She loves her frilly bedroom, her lace-trimmed socks, and she will take any chance she gets to show-off her fancy French! When she finds out her school is putting on their first dance recital, Nancy is absolutely positive (that's fancy for 100% sure) that she and her best friend, Bree will be cast as mermaids. But when Nancy is given the part of a dull, brown tree, she must learn kindness and find the "fancy flair" in her new role. Nancy Learns that she must make most of every part she is called on to play in life, and she learns just how incredibly fabulous being a tree can be. With life lessons about friendship, kindness, and acceptance presented in creative ways, Fancy Nancy The Musical has proven to be a smashing success (that's fancy for a big hit)!

Based on the popular Fancy Nancy book series, Fancy Nancy The Musical is the perfect family show for children of all ages! There will be a pre-show and post-show meet and greet with the cast, so audience members are encouraged to arrive early or stick around after the show to learn some fancy dances with the characters.

The cast includes members of the Millbrook Playhouse Youth Ensemble: Abby Greevy (Jersey Shore, PA) who will play the title character, Nancy, and is joined by Katelyn Boyd (Mill Hall, PA) as Bree, Kelly Long (Mill Hall, PA) as Wanda, Olivia Hanna (Lock Haven, PA) as Rhonda, Madi Meeker (Lock Haven, PA) as Elle. The show also stars Brooke Reese, recently featured as Mrs. Mayor in last summer's Seussical the Musical, as Mrs. Clancy.

Fancy Nancy The Musical has book and lyrics by Susan DiLallo, and music and lyrics by Danny Abosch, based on the popular Fancy Nancy books, written by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser.

The production is directed, music directed, and choreographed by Michaela Barczak, and includes Set Design by Michael Rogers, Costume Design by Amelia Freo and Linda Hughey, Lighting Design by Nathaniel Garcia and Brooke Reese, Props Design by Trinity Aragon-Burton.
