3rd ANNUAL DANCING WITH YOUR LEHIGH VALLEY STARS Set for 4/27

Six members of the Lehigh Valley community will participate in the 3rd Annual Dancing with your Lehigh Valley Stars at the State Theatre. The six stars will be paired up with professional ballroom dancers from Utah Ballroom Dance Company to take the stage on Thursday, April 27th.

The Lehigh Valley's Local Stars are:

TEAM BRYON: Bryon Grigsby Moravian College

TEAM LAUREN: Lauren Kusik WFMZ-TV

TEAM MARK: Mark Erickson Northampton Community College

TEAM MELINDA: Melinda Stumpf PPL

TEAM MICHAEL: MichaEl Anthony 99.9 The Hawk

TEAM STEPH: Steph Wells B104

Local Stars will rehearse with professionals the week leading up the big event and will be dressed up in glitzy costumes performing their routines during the first part of the show. Part 2 of the show features the professional dancers in action until the winner of the famous Mirror Ball is announced at the end of the show! In addition to the Judges scores, audience members will help determine the winner with their vote on the night of the show.

Judging the competition this year are the Honorable Sal Panto, Mayor of the City of Easton; Anne Baum, Vice President, Capital BlueCross, Lehigh Valley; and SeLena Robinson, Morning Show Host, 100.7 WLEV

Dancing with your Lehigh Valley Stars is on Thursday, April 27th at 7:00 PM. Tickets are $30 ($15 for students) and proceeds will benefit the State Theatre's FREDDY© Awards program.

This production was created six years ago by the Utah Ballroom Dance Company, a professional dance troupe featuring some of nation's top ballroom dance athletes who have performed nationally and internationally. Dancers from the Company will be in residence for a week prior to the show, teaching the local Stars their 90-second routines.

Proceeds from the show benefit the FREDDY© Awards program at the State Theatre, celebrating its 15th year in May. Previous winners of Dancing with your Lehigh Valley Stars include Eve Tannery from 69 News WFMZ and Ashley Russo from ASR Media/ The Peak TV.
