Comix At Foxwoods to Present THE DAILY SHOW'S Lewis Black

By:

Comix At Foxwoods presents the hilariously furious "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" correspondent, Lewis Black for a roaring, one-night-only performance at the Grand Theater at Foxwoods on Saturday, September 6 at 9 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale and can be purchased in advance for $20-$60. This show is intended for mature audiences only.

As one of the most prolific and popular performers working today, Black's unique blend of biting intellect and pissed-off optimism has established him as a favorite among audiences, fellow comedians and critics alike. Black's breakout role as a long-running, ranting correspondent on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" received critical acclaim and launched his personal brand of fury into television and film.

Black has appeared in feature films such as "Man of the Year," "Accepted," Unaccompanied Minors" and "Farce of the Penguins." He has also taped four specials for the "Comedy Central Presents" series, co-created "Last Laugh with Lewis Black" and presided over "Lewis Black's Root of All Evil."

He has filmed two HBO specials, one of which garnered him an Emmy nomination in 2007. In addition to his roles on film and television, Black has written more than 40 plays as well as four books that each received critical praise and commercial success, spending numerous weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list.
