Summer Theatre Camps

SPARC (School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1981 that provides performing arts education to about 1,500 young people each year. Its summer camp program runs for ten weeks and offers performing arts and technical theatre camps for youth and teens ages 4 to 18, structured as one- or two-week sessions. Camps are grouped by rising grade level, from Pre-K and kindergarten through high school, and no prior experience or audition is required. Each camp ends with a performance for family and friends. Sessions run at SPARC's Scott's Addition campus on North Hamilton Street and at satellite locations around metro Richmond including Tuckahoe, Northside, the Far West End, Bon Air and Midlothian. Scholarships, payment plans, and early-arrival and extended-afternoon care are available.

Ten weeks of camps each summer, grouped for rising Pre-K/Kindergarten, elementary (grades 1-5), middle school (grades 5-8) and high school (grades 8-12). Registration opens in early January. Early Arrival and Extended Afternoon care are available at some sites, scholarships and payment plans are offered, and no audition is required.
