Theatre summer camp in Calgary, Alberta
Quest Theatre runs weekly summer theatre day camps in Calgary, Alberta, at cSPACE Marda Loop, 1721 29 Ave SW. Camps serve children aged 6 to 15 and are grouped by age band, with each class capped at 16 campers and facilitated by two professional theatre artists. Over a single week, campers devise an original show from their own ideas through creative play, improvisation, writing and scene work, then present it to family and friends in person or on film on the final day. The youngest group works largely through imaginative play, middle groups build more complex stories and relationships, and a two-week option lets older campers prototype performance material and take creative ownership of the process. The daily schedule runs 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with supervised drop-off and pick-up windows, outdoor play, prop and costume building, and paid after care until 5:00 pm.
Drop off 8:30-9:00 am, camp 9:00 am-4:00 pm, pick up 4:00-4:30 pm, with after care until 5:00 pm available for $40/week. Maximum 16 campers per class with two professional theatre artists facilitating. Campers bring their own lunch; a pizza party is provided every Friday. Bursaries are available first-come first-served, applications April 1 to May 30, 2026. Camp runs all weekdays including the holiday Monday during the week of August 3. 2026 pricing was listed as TBA.
