About this camp
Improv Playhouse Performing Arts Camps are ACA-accredited day camps based in Libertyville, Illinois. Summer 2026 offerings include two-week musical theatre camps for Broadway Bound (grades 1-3, half day) and Showstoppers (grades 4-9, full day) built around showcase titles such as Tangled, The Greatest Showman, Aladdin and Frozen; two-week acting camps for grades 3-8; improv and stand-up comedy camps for grades 4-8; and filmmaking and game design camps for grades 4-8 taught by professionals from top film schools. Teen and high school students can also join IP Elite SummerStock repertory productions. Camps emphasize a non-competitive, nurturing environment; roles are assigned by staff and campers are not required to audition. Scholarships and camp discounts are available.
Full day 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.; half day noon-3:00 p.m. Before- and after-care available for all sessions. Musical theatre camps run at Highland School, 310 W Rockland Road, Libertyville; acting, comedy and film camps at IP Theater, 130 N Milwaukee Ave.
