YEAST NATION's Harriet Harris, Many Narayan et al. Set for 7/24 Village Gate’s Old Fashioned Piano Party

The Village Gate's Old Fashioned Piano Party will be celebrating the upcoming Fringe NYC show Yeast Nation - The Triumph of Life written by Greg Kotis and Mark Hollman(Urinetown) this Sunday, July 24th @ 9pm. Stars Harriet Harris (Thoroughly Modern Millie, "Frasier"), Manu Narayan (Bombay Dreams, suburbia) and more will be previewing songs from the show, which will be running August 13-25, 2011.
In addition to our special guests, our usual piano party will be underway - this week's theme is Miscast - Songs You Were Never Meant to Sing! So whip out a tune or two you've always wanted to sing (but knew in your heart it wasn't meant to be)...the more inappropriate and ridiculous the better. This fast growing open mic night is highly recommended for show-tune lovers, Broadway enthusiasts, "Gleeks", fans of Charles Nelson Reilly, and anyone who ever wanted to do their own dream ballet; showcasing new composers and some of Broadway and Off-Broadway's best each week.
