Tim Evanicki Brings New Show to His Hometown

By:
Raised in Honeoye Falls and on the stage of Downstairs Cabaret Theatre, Tim Evanicki brings his new show Cheaper Than Therapy to his hometown and the theatre that gave him his first professional gig. Unable to afford an ACTUAL therapist, Tim will take audiences through his struggles of finding his place in this world in a hilarious and touching cabaret performance.

Combining favorite Broadway tunes with original novelty songs, Tim will make the Downstairs Cabaret stage his therapist's couch for one weekend only: August 21-23.

Tim Evanicki is an alumnus of the Juilliard School in New York City, majoring in Vocal Performance. Since relocating to Orlando in 2004, Tim has balanced an active vocal studio with an active performance schedule. Tim has been seen on stages all over the world in musical theatre, opera and concert performances. He has had the honor of performing for and alongside celebrities, and for presidents, popes and world dignitaries in some of the world's most famous venues.

Credits include And the World Goes Round (Man 1) and A Grand Night for Singing (Man 1) at the Winter Park Playhouse, Oklahoma (Judd Fry) with Central Florida Community Arts and CATS (Old Deuteronomy) at Theatre Winter Haven. At Walt Disney World, he has performed in The Voices of Liberty, EPCOT's American Vybe, and Mulch, Sweat and Shears. This holiday season, Florida audiences will see Tim as The Narrator in Universal Orlando's Grinchmas: A Who-liday Spectaular. An accomplished Cabaret artist, Tim's solo cabarets have been seen at theatres and cabarets in Orlando and New York, including The Duplex, Downstairs Cabaret Theatre and Mad Cow Theatre. His successful voice studio has trained singers of all ages for careers in the performing arts, and his students have been accepted into some of the world's most prestigious performing arts colleges.

Cheaper Than Therapy with Tim Evanicki will be on stage at 3450 Winton Place, Brighton-Henrietta: Friday, August 21 at 8:00pm; Saturday, August 22 at 8:00pm; and Sunday, August 23 at 3:00pm. Tickets: $25 general admission (discounts for seniors age 60 and above, military personnel, groups of 10 or more, full-time students age 22 and under, and DCT members).
