The Bones Featuring Alison Luff Debut At The Green Room 42 July 12 THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - has announced the New York debut of THE BONES, a new band featuring Alison Luff and Matt Magnusson, on Thursday, July 12 at 9:30 PM. Their concert will trace how Alison - currently starring on Broadway in Escape to Margaritaville - and Matt - recently seen as Kenickie in the Toronto revival of Grease - met, fell in love, formed a indie pop band, and eloped in the fall of 2015. The Bones is a blend of their individual styles of music and is best described as a synergistic expression of their love for one another. After only knowing each other three weeks they recorded their first demos at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles. This summer they are in the process of recording their debut full-length album.

As a recent review from BroadwayWorld.com raved, "Their songs, 'One By One' and 'Yolk,' were both the kind of lucky-in-love easy listening which brought artists like Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz into prominence. When the two crooned their simplistically stunning music, it was clear why their lightning-quick courtship was all but inevitable. After all, they managed to have an entire room swooning for them both."

Alison Luff is most known for her theatre career, having been in six Broadway shows, two North American tours, and regional theatres across the country. Some of her stand out roles have been Elphaba in Wicked, Fantine in Les Miserables, Miss Honey in Matilda and her favorite, Rachel in the recent Broadway rom-com, Escape to Margaritaville. She divides her time between the East and West coast where she resides with her husband and ultimate writing partner/band mate, Matt Magnusson. She calls him Matthew. Their story goes something like this... they met in LA, one week later they fell in love, started writing together, and that was the birth of The Bones.

Matt Magnusson was last seen on stage as Kenickie in the revival of Grease at the Winter Garden Theatre in Toronto. Other favorite regional credits include Floyd Collins (La Mirada Center for the Performing Arts), Casa Valentina (Pasadena Playhouse), Spring Awakening (Over the Moon Productions), Recorded in Hollywood (Kirk Douglass Theatre), The History Boys (Stella Adler Lab Theatre), and Wolves (Celebration Theatre). This fall he will be playing the role of Tommy DeVito in the regional premiere of Jersey Boys at the Ogunquit Playhouse. Matt can also be seen in the independent film American Girl, available on Amazon Prime.
