The premier performance of the Steven Frieder Quintet features new original compositions and arrangements. Joining Frieder on saxophone is the 2008 Thelonius Monk Award winner Jon Irabagon (Tom Harrel, Luis Perdomo, Dave Douglas). Together these mighty saxmen explore the musical realms of Jazz, Latin Jazz, R&B and more. Rounding out the quintet are pianist Mike Eckroth (Jon Scofield Quartet), bassist Luca Rosenfeld (
Lew Soloff) and drummer Bob Meyer (Joe Lovano, John Abercrombie, M
Al Waldron, Shelia Jordan.)
