SheNYC Brings NOTEWORTHY: A Night Celebrating Women Songwriters to The Green Room 42

SheNYC announces their second annual benefit concert, NOTEWORTHY: A Night Celebrating Women Songwriters. The event will take place at The Green Room 42 on Saturday, April 7th at 7 PM.

NOTEWORTHY will feature music of the brightest new female writers in the industry, including Lisa DeSpain & Sara Wordsworth (In Transit), Misha Lambert, Michelle J. Rodriguez (ANTFest's East o', West o'!), Jan Roper & Julie Weiner (City of Light), and Angela Sclafani (ANTFest's The Other Side of Paradise).

Their vibrant new music will be sung by a cast including: Rakel Aroyo, Kim Blanck (Folk Wandering), Danielle Bowen, Daisy Carnelia, Kristen DiMercurio, Chloe Gasparini, Jack Cotterell, Everett Mason, Anthony Norman, Sierra Rein, Katy Wilson and more to be announced.

The concert will be hosted by SheNYC Associate Producers, Ari Conte and Hannah Rosenthal.

Proceeds from Noteworthy will benefit She NYC Arts (a 501c3 nonprofit organization), producer of the She NYC Summer Theater Festival -- New York City's only festival devoted to producing full-length plays, musicals, and adaptations by women writers annually. Its commitment to an open submissions process allows it to discover and cultivate the best up-and-coming talent in the industry. The 2018 Festival will run from July 5-15th in the East Village's Connelly Theater, and will feature eight new works. Visit www.shenycarts.org for more information.
