David Davila returned to the Laurie Beechman Theatre in Times Square with an all-star Broadway cast to present: David Davila & THE MAGIC TIME MACHINE, a time travel song extravaganza that reflects on revisiting mistakes you shouldn't have repeated. The concert featured original songs from Davila's latest work plus audience favorites from MANUEL VERSUS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY, #52SONGS, and VOX POP. Scroll down for photos!

Bringing Davila's songs to life was a cast of talented Broadway and NY Cabaret vets, including Ruby Rakos, Desi Oakley, Daniel Quadrino, Michael McCorry Rose, Charles Barksdale, Jose Sepulveda, Brendan Daugherty, Liz Lark Brown, Darryl Jovan Williams, Steph Nash, Lillian Andrea DeLeon, Emilie Mirvis, Gil Perez-Abraham, Tami Dahbura, Michelle Caniglia, Joshua Gonzales, and Jackson Perrin.

David Davila & THE MAGIC TIME MACHINE was directed by Jose Sepulveda, with musical direction by Karl Hedrick. The concert was produced by Emily Comisar and presented as part of Lone Star Theatre Company's TX MUSIC/NY STAGES concert series on Monday, January 25th at 7pm at the Laurie Beechman theatre.

David Davila is a musical theatre writer from South Texas. His musical MANUEL VERSUS THE STATUE OF LIBERTY (with Noemi de la Puente) was seen this year at the New York Musical Theatre Festival where it was nominated for Best Musical and won the Social Relevance award. His musical VOX POP was recently seen at Musical Theatre Factory and in concert at Feinstein's/54 Below. He is the author of the Tex-Mex plays ADAN Y JULIO, MEN OF GOD, CREDO, RECUERDOS OF MY LIFE, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, and AZTEC PIRATES AND THE INSIGNIFICANCE OF LIFE ON MARS. He's also the composer/lyricist of the musicals CORNER GIRL, f-ing BEAUTIFUL (with Sean Havrillay), and the song cycles #52SONGS (Laurie Beechman Theatre, Triad, West End Lounge, The Underground) and TALES FROM HIGHWAY 281 (Intar Theatre). He is the managing editor ofcrazytownblog.com and the founder of Lone Star Theatre Co, dedicated to bringing Texas Pages to New York Stages.
