Photo Coverage: Joshua Lance Dixon Brings Las Vegas to the Beach Cafe
The Beach Cafe on 70th & 2nd Ave sure felt like one of the intimate Cabaret rooms on the Las Vegas strip last night. Joshua Lance Dixon, this years MAC Award winner for Best Male Vocalist produced all the charisma and excitement of the Rat Pack with his show which tells (in story and song) the history of Frank, Dean, Sammy, Joey, and Peter Lawford.
Joshua has a great instrument and used his rich baritone skillfully as he navigated the songs of that exciting time in the 1960's. Proprietor Dave Beach, doesn't have any slot machines in the back room and Joshua wasn't wearing a tux or uses Dean's line "how long have I been on" but the audience at The Beach Cafe was expertly brought back to a momentous moment in entertainment history.
Great music, food and spirits last night and I didn't even loose any money except for the wonderful Prix Fixe dinner.
Next up at the Beach Cafe. Shana Farr May 5, Danny Bacher May 12, and every Sunday an unofficial member of the Rat Pack.. Steven Maglio
