Photo Coverage: Chita Rivera Performs at Museum of The City Of New York Cabaret Gala
The Museum of the City of New York celebrates and interprets the city, educating the public about its distinctive character, especially its heritage of diversity, opportunity, and perpetual transformation. Last night at it's annual Cabaret Gala it presented Broadway legend Chita Rivera, whose stage career has spanned a remarkable six decades.
Before leaping into the national spotlight as Anita in the Broadway premiere of West Side Story, Chita dazzled in Guys and Doll, Mr. Wonderful, and Can-Can. She received the Kennedy Center Honor in 2002 and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2009.
