THE Pearl Theatre Company (J.R. Sullivan, Artistic Director; Shira Beckerman, Managing Director) is proud to announce that Marin Mazzie and Jason Danieley will perform a one-night cabaret benefit this spring as the company's annual fund raiser. This event, to benefit The Pearl's resident artist ensemble, will take place on Monday, May 2, 2011 at B.B. King Blues Club.

Having just finished starring in Broadway's Pulitzer Prize-winning next to normal, Marin Mazzie and Jason Daneiley are acclaimed for their work both on Broadway and in concert venues around the country. They have performed with some of the nation's most celebrated orchestras including the San Francisco Symphony, the Boston Pops, and the L.A. Philharmonic. Their concerts have been described as "something to behold" (The New York Times) and "two strong voices mixed with a friendly and happily unpretentious sense of fun" (Variety).

In addition to next to normal they each have extensive Broadway credits. Ms. Mazzie has starred in the revival of Kiss Me, Kate (Tony, Drama Desk Nominations, and Outer Critics Circle Award), Monty Python's Spamalot (also in the West End), Ragtime (Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics nominations), Passion (Tony nomination), Man of La Mancha, Into the Woods, and Big River. Mr. Danieley has starred on Broadway in Kander & Ebb's Curtains (Outer Critics Circle nomination), Candide, Full Monty (also in the West End), and at Carnegie Hall in a concert version of South Pacific (aired on PBS' Great Performances). Together, their concert Opposite You was created for Lincoln Center's American Songbook Series and their CD was recorded on PS Classics and released in the fall of 2005.

Founded in 1984, The Pearl Theatre Company is a New York City repertory company of resident actors that produces a full range of plays rooted in the classic tradition, impacting over 30,000 artists and audiences each year. The Pearl performs at New York City Center's Stage II. The current production of THE MISANTHROPE is currently running until February 20. The season will conclude with David Davalos' contemporary comedy WITTENBERG, which begins on March 11.
