Seven-time MAC Award winner, including the 2008 MAC Award for Major Jazz Artist, and 2008 Nightlife Award Winner, Natalie Douglas, returns to her favorite perch with her hit new show, "To Lena...a tribute to the Lady & her Music" in the legendary nightclub of New York, Birdland Jazz Club on Monday, May 17 @ 7:00 p.m.
Living legend Lena Horne graced the world stage with her talent, beauty, dignity, sophistication & matchless interpretive skills for almost 70 years. Natalie Douglas will be joined by her Musical Director, MAC Award Winner and "Sondheim on Sondheim" Associate Conductor Mark Hartman, bassist Essiet Essiet and percussionist Joe Choroszewski as they celebrate the nightclub legacy of Lena Horne. They will be performing songs associated with the famed singer, including "As Long As I Live," "I Love To Love," "Believe in Yourself," "From This Moment On" and the classic "Stormy Weather."
