NASH, POTATOES, & DAVEY plays the Underground Lounge Jan 20th at 10:00pm
By: Robert Diamond Jan. 18, 2014
The two-person show is billed as a zany, and significantly Southern-fried, folk concert that pairs the joys of comedy with the despair of suicidal heart-ache using acoustic guitars, tambourines, and parallel thirds. The show is said to shine a spotlight on serious issues that plague the hipster community such as gentrification and showering. After successful shows at Hourglass Tavern and Goodbye Blue Mondays, the pair of hipsters who write serious songs but don't take themselves seriously, are at it again.
This time they invade the basement at the Underground Lounge! The folksy show features jams such as "IF I WAS A SPIDER," "THREE IN THE MORNING," "TOM & BOB WANNA GET MARRIED," " ASSHOLE," and more.
There is no cover for the event, and a $15 food/drink minimum. Following the show, The Underground lounge will present BROADWAY AT THE BASEMENT, a Broadway open mic.
The Underground Lounge is located at 955 West End Avenue, at 107th and Broadway. For more information visit theundergroundloungenyc.com or daviddavila.net.
