Monica Ricketts to Perform at Room 5 Lounge, 12/10

By:
Monica Ricketts, one of LA's busiest up-and-coming actors, is pleased to announce her debut solo cabaret performance, "More To The Story". Set to the tune of various types of composers and lyricists, it is surely not a night to miss.

Producer states: "Having been exposed to a wide array of styles from childhood, Monica's musical intuition supersedes that of many performers her age. Her style is true to her times, while paying homage to the beloved singers of music past. Join us for a night of discovery, laughter, whimsy, and honest storytelling through beloved songs and narrative."

"I've been wanting to express myself in a cabaret setting for quite some time, now. As a performer, I'm most often seen in a stylized wig, dramatic makeup, and a glorious ballgown swirling around me; but this night is going to be much different," says Monica. "My goal for this cabaret is to reveal a much more pure side of myself, a side that is not often seen. It's not a night to shun the 'princess side' of Monica. Instead, it is meant to compliment it, and shine a light on my love of the fantastical. Having the freedom to create my own story through song is allowing me to take an audience on a journey of my past, present, and future in a very unique way. I'm extremely grateful that Room 5 has allowed me to present my story at such a beautiful venue, and to Pablo Rossil, who is so patient, understanding, and able to push me to follow my dreams with drive and focus. I'm truly looking forward to presenting 'More To the Story' to Los Angeles, and the people who I care so much about!"

"More To The Story" is produced by Raw Sill Productions, and directed by Pablo Rossil.

"More To The Story" will be performed on December 10, 2015 at Room 5 Lounge. Address: 143 N. La Brea Ave. Los Angeles, CA 90036.
Doors open at 6:30PM.
Show begins at 7PM.
Tickets cost $10.
