MAUDE MAGGART IN CONCERT Set for Northlight Theatre Tonight

Northlight Theatre, hosting a rare Chicago appearance, presents Maude Maggart in Concert, a special one-night-only concert event. Maude Maggart in Concert will take place tonght, April 20 at 9:00 p.m. at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd.

"Maude is one of the rising stars of the national Jazz Cabaret scene," says Tim Evans, Northlight's Executive Director. "Her talent as an intelligent interpreter of the contemporary American Songbook is extraordinary and we are honored to present her in this exclusive Chicago appearance."

Born and raised in New York City, Maude Maggart started her performing career in the clubs of New York and Los Angeles. The young celebrated chanteuse created a stir in Hollywood with her debut show at the Gardenia. Fostered by Andrea Marcovicci and Michael Feinstein, Maude has performed at Feinstein's in Manhattan, the Plush Room in San Francisco, the Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, and the Oak Room at the Algonquin in New York City. She has exploded into one of today's most compelling international concert artists.

Maude is the scion of an acclaimed show business family: her grandmother starred in the George White Scandals of 1926; her grandfather was the star vocalist for the famed Harry James Big Band; her parents met while performing with Lauren Bacall in the Broadway musical Applause; and her sister is pop singer/songwriter Fiona Apple.

Regular tickets are $45, and VIP tickets are $100. In addition to the best seats, VIP tickets include a pre-show reception (7:00 p.m.) with complimentary beverages, appetizers, and a meet & greet with the artist.

The Box Office is located at the North Shore Center for the Performing Arts, 9501 Skokie Boulevard, in Skokie. Box Office hours are Monday-Friday 10:00am-5:00pm, and Saturdays 12:00pm-5:00pm. On performance days, the box office hours are extended through showtime. The Box Office is closed on Sundays, except on performance days when it is open two hours prior to showtime.
