Lisa Howard, Alex Gemignani, Jessica Vosk and More to Perform Songs of Jill Abramovitz at NYPL

On March 28 at 6pm Broadway's Future Songbook Series -- presented by Arts and Artists at St. Paul -- will spotlight the songs of award-winning lyricist Jill Abramovitz. Admission is free.

The concert, produced and hosted by John Znidarsic, will take place in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center.

Performers will include Arielle Jacobs (Wicked), Lisa Howard (It Shoulda Been You), Alex Gemignani (Sunday in the Park With George), Jessica Vosk (Fiddler on the Roof), Kate Wetherhead (Clever Little Lies), Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde), Dana Steingold, F. Michael Haynie (Dogfight), Michael Winther (33 Variations) and Arielle Jacobs (Wicked).

The evening will feature the music of Brad Alexander, Joy Sun, Aron Accurso and Anselmi. Laura Pietropinto will direct with musical direction by Aron Accurso. Mairi Dorman-Phaneuf will be featured on cello.

Abramovitz is a contributing lyricist on Broadway's It Shoulda Been You (composer, Barbara Anselmi). She is the lyricist/co-bookwriter of The Dogs of Pripyat (composer, Aron Accurso; co-book writer, Leah Napolin, based on the play by Napolin), which garnered the Weston Playhouse New Musical Award, the Jerry Bock Award, was a NAMT selectee and was part of Goodspeed's Festival of New Artists. She is also the lyricist of TheatreworksUSA's Martha Speaks (book by Kevin DelAguila, music by Brad Alexander) and the lyricist/book writer for Bread and Roses (music by Brad Alexander, based on the film).

The Bruno Walter Auditorium at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center is located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue and 65th Street in Manhattan.
