Joe's Pub at The Public presents the New York City premiere of Multiplied, the new show from Grammy Award-winning Lady Rizo, on July 19, 20, 25 and 26. The world-renowned cabaret superstar explores how fecundity and parenthood fit with the revelry of showbiz. Lady Rizo ingeniously weaves carefully chosen pop songs with her own stirring originals. Tickets ($30) are available now via www.joespub.com, phone (212-967-7555) and in-person at The Public Theater's Taub Box Office (425 Lafayette St, @ Astor Place, NYC).

Multiplied recounts the latest chapter in Lady Rizo's life as she digs her sparkling heels into new motherhood while still holding onto the mantle of a glamorous chanteuse. Backed by acclaimed cellist, composer and guitarist Yair Evnine, the singer recounts the last months of her pregnancy being spent on the road and ponders the nature of breeding in the context of 21st century metropolitan living. Eight months post-partum, Lady Rizo finally brings her trademark titillating humor and soulful, soaring voice back to the New York City stage, following an acclaimed world premiere of Multiplied in London in Spring 2016.

Lady Rizo, aka Amelia Zirin-Brown, is a NYC-based performance artist, comedienne, singer, composer and actor. Praised with critical raves three years in a row at the Assembly Festival in Edinburgh, she won the inaugural Time Out London and Soho Theatre Award, and the 2013 London Cabaret Award. She is also a Grammy Award winner for a 2010 collaboration with Yo-Yo Ma on the holiday album Songs of Joy and Peace. A recipient of the New York Foundation for the Arts fellowship, her original pieces have shown at The Public Theater, where she was a resident artist for three years at Joe's Pub; London's Leister Square Theatre; and the city- wide Sydney Festival, where she was nominated for a 2013 Helpmann Award. An original cast member and co-creator of Young Jean Lee's Untitled Feminist Show, she performed in it for three years in more than seven countries.

Rizo created the six-piece house band and was the mistress of ceremonies for the popular NYC supper club The Darby, performing alongside musical luminaries such as John Mayer, LeAnn Rimes and Bruno Mars. She co-created the web-series and composed the theme song for VIDS for Fuse Network and E! Entertainment. Her compositions have also been featured in performances by New York Theater company, The Civilians, and Julian Sheppard's Los Angeles, directed by Adam Rapp, which debuted at the Flea Theater in 2007.

In addition to Yo-Yo Ma, she has recorded with Moby and Reggie Watts. Her recent collaboration with musical group CocoRosie was documented in the film Eyes of the Moon, which was recently shot in Marfa, TX. Her debut album, entitled Violet, came out in November 2013 to much acclaim. Her second album Indigo will be available later this year at www.ladyrizo.com.
