54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents KATE SHINDLE with her "Binder of Broken Dreams" tonight, June 24, 2014. Georgia Stitt serves as musical director for Shindle's 54 Below solo debut.

"The show is a collection of some of the many songs I've learned for projects I didn't end up doing, for one reason or another," Shindle says. "It's everything from songs I had to learn overnight for a callback, to stuff from shows I've workshopped, to my go-to audition pieces. They get all layered on top of each other in those skinny black binders, and sometimes they don't resurface for a long time. Then they just stare at you. It was a little bit of an exercise in masochism to put together a whole show, but it's a lot of fun to revisit the songs-and stories-that pile up over a dozen or so years in the business."

Kate Shindle plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on June 24, 2014. There is a $25-50 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.
