Joel B. New Set for The Duplex Tonight
Musical theatre writer Joel B. New makes his New York solo concert debut tonight at 9:30PM on the Duplex Cabaret Theatre stage. Directed by Bistro Award winner Justin Daniel, "Joel B. New In Concert" will feature New behind the piano, playing and singing a variety of selections from his musical projects. Guest performers also scheduled to appear include Charlie Levy, Jenny Neale, Dan Radzikowski, and Christine Schneider.

A composer, lyricist, playwright, and performer, Joel B. New is the proud recipient of a 2008 American Theatre Wing Jonathan Larson Grant for his music and lyrics. Joel has been praised as one of today's "most exciting contemporary musical theatre writers" whose songs are "abound with charm and a warm delicacy" (BroadwayWorld.com). His stage projects include TO HELL AND BACK, MACKENZIE & THE MISSING BOY, AWAKENING (book: Jenny Stafford, music: J. Oconer Navarro), STANDALONE, and RSVP. Joel's work has been seen and developed in New York at Ars Nova, Lincoln Center, 54 Below, New York Theatre Barn, and more.
