May's bucket benefits Jena Cane.

Jennifer Jasper, in association with JewelBox Theater, presents a monthly cabaret all about family. Family Affair, hosted and curated by Jennifer Jasper. Storytellers, dancers, writers, musicians and artists share their hilarious, twisted and ultimately relatable familial skeletons on the third Wednesday of each month. As needed, each performance benefits a family in the artist community who has had an unforeseen crisis. The evening closes with a new story randomly drawn from Jennifer's kooky family album of Jasper Jewels.

Family Affair will take place every 3rd Wednesday at 7:30pm, starting today, May 21, 2014, at Rendezvous/JewelBox Theater at 2322 2nd Ave, Seattle, WA 98121. Tickets are $10 cash at the door. Audience members must be 21 or over. No pre-sales are available.

Jennifer Jasper has been a fixture of the Northwest theater scene for more than two decades-she is known for acting, directing, and emceeing. As a storyteller, her stories are brutally honest, sometimes poignant, and absolutely hilarious. She co-founded Kings' Elephant Theatre (original long form improvisational pieces and unscripted plays) and Vixen Productions (Pulp Vixens, A Fistful of Lesbians). Jennifer's hit autobiographical show I Can Hear You...But I'm Not Listening was featured most recently at at Teatro Paraguas in Santa Fe, NM in January 2014 and Theatre Off Jackson's SPF Festival in March of 2013, and will be included in the 2014 Hollywood Fringe Festival this summer. She premiered her latest solo show It Will Kill Them! at Gay City Arts in February of 2014. In 2013 she was awarded a Jack Straw Artist Support Residency.
