Jennica McCleary Coming to The Metropolitan Room, 7/1

By:

Jennica McCleary brings her Bette Midler tribute, Divine Deception, to the Metropolitan Room on Friday, July 1st at 9:30pm.

Most recently seen as Winifred Sanderson in The Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom, Jennica is now looking forward to her NYC premiere as Bette. A project several years in the making, Divine Deception: A Tribute to Bette Midler first came to life six years ago in Las Vegas thanks to two influential individuals. First encouraged by a friend in the business to impersonate Bette due to her striking resemblance to the diva, it took one special encounter to propel Jennica full steam ahead. After meeting Midler (who mistakenly thought a promotional photo for Divine Deception was a picture of her from the 1970s) in person, Miss McCleary knew she would have to bring her reenactment to the stage.

Born and raised in Navarre, Ohio, Jennica has been performing professionally since the age of 15. She has worked all over the country as a singer, actress, dancer, choreographer, make-up artist, and fire performer. Some of her favorite roles include Sally (Cabaret), Lucy (Jekyll and Hyde), Aldonza (Man of La Mancha), and Magenta (Rocky Horror Show Live!). Aside from musical theatre, Jennica has also enjoyed her work as a vocalist with a number of show bands and the Las Vegas based Legends in Concert. From February to May of 2015, Jennica had the pleasure of impersonating Ms. Midler for Legends at Dick Clark's American Bandstand Theater in Branson, MO.

Divine Deception: A Tribute to Bette Midler will take the audience on a one hour journey through The Divine Miss M's best career moments including songs, jokes, banter and more. Miss McCleary has decided to dedicate a portion of the proceeds from this event to the victims of the Pulse tragedy, after calling Orlando home for the past 6 years.

Friday, July 1st 2016, 9:30pm at the Metropolitan Room, 34 W 22nd St, New York, NY 10010 (between 5th and 6th Aves).

Tickets from $24, 2 drink minimum, bookings via 212.206.0440 or metropolitanroom.com. Use Promo code 'Midler' for $10 advance purchase discount. Event link http://metropolitanroom.com/event.cfm?id=238988&cart
