Jamie de Roy & Friends Come To Birdland

Celebrated cabaret performer Jamie deRoy presents a special evening of her Multi MAC Award-winning variety show, Jamie de Roy & friends on Sunday, February 28th (6PM) at the famed New York jazz hot-spot Birdland (315 West 44th Street ~ between 8th & 9th Avenues) with an evening of songs from Academy Award®-winning Films.
Joining Jamie will be: Drama Desk Award-nominee Christina Bianco (Forbidden Broadway Goes to Rehab) and currently on the boards in Newsical; Four-time TONY nominee Gregg Edelman (1776, Into the Woods, Anna Karenina, City of Angels); London's beloved triple-threat, Bonnie Langford (Chicago-NYC and London companies); Conductor/composer 2-time Emmy Award-winner John McDaniel; critically acclaimed cellist Peter Sachon and multi-award-winning singer; "Finian's Rainbow" sensation Terri White and surprise guests! Award-winning director Barry Kleinbort will stage the evening and Lanny Meyers will serve as musical director. The colorful cabaret series, which has been thrilling New York City audiences for the past 16 years and serves as the basis for deRoy's award-winning cable television show, spotlights a wide variety of well-known entertainers and newcomers lighting up the cabaret, theater, and comedy worlds.Jamie deRoy has won eight MAC Awards, four Back Stage Bistro Awards, ten Telly Awards and CaB Magazine's Lifetime Achievement Award for her extensive work on both stage and screen. Jamie has appeared onstage with Joan Rivers and has headlined at many of New York's major clubs. She has produced eight CDs in the Jamie deRoy & friends series on the Harbinger and PS Classics labels. Her theatre producing credits include for this season on Broadway: Lend Me A Tenor, Finian's Rainbow, Ragtime and The Addams Family. Her acting credits include appearances on the television shows "Alice," "Spiderman" and "Knight Rider," and in the films GoodFellas, Raging Bull, See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Married to It.
