J. Michael Zygo to Play Feinstein's/54 Below
FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents J. Michael Zygo on Sunday, November 26th. Come hear an incredibly diverse mixtape of music from Once, Rock of Ages, Big River, The Who's Tommy, The Bridges of Madison County and others, as well as some originals, chronicling a life of making music and making it to Broadway!
Currently appearing in School of Rock on Broadway, and original cast member/musician of Once on Broadway, Zygo makes his Feinstein's/54 Below debut! With a background in classical voice, a history of singing in Rock and Country bands, 2 studio albums of original music and a passion for guitar, Zygo brings songs and stories rootedin 15 years of productions and songwriting. Zygo (Vocals, Guitar) will be joined by Special Guests Shannon O'Boyle (Kinky Boots, Once), Justin Matthew Sargent (Spiderman, Rock of Ages) and Josh Tower (Motown, The Lion King). The band will be rounded out by Lucas Papaelias (Guitars, Mandolin), Ryan Vona (Bass Guitar), Jeremy Lowe (Drums and Percussion) and David John Madore (Keyboard, Music Director)
J. Michael Zygo plays Feinstein's/54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on November 26th. There is a $25-$35 cover charge, $60 Premiums and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.
In 7th Grade, Zygo's Music Teacher asked him to join Choir and in 8th Grade cast him as Peter Pan in the school musical. Since then, he's been blessed to travel around the country and perform on the stages of many historical venues in every state in the country except Alaska! Although he's been called a "dancing and gymnastic machine," which hails from his Martial Arts background (he's a Black Belt by the way), his love of Guitar is what inspired 2 Studio Albums of original music and led to his 1st Broadway show. Apple Country is the best way to describe where Zygo grew up. His Western New York hometown has a celebration called the Apple Blossom Festival and an orchard greeted him when he walked out his back door. He's even worked at the Mott's factory in his hometown. It's been a long and winding road from small town apple country to The Big Apple!
