The Metropolitan Room will host the east coast premier of the new cabaret "Flop!", conceived, written, and performed by one of New York's finest up-and-coming performers Brad Bong on Monday December 8, 2014 at 9:30 PM. Flop! got its Los Angeles premier in September after debuting at the Sacramento Cabaret Festival.

Flop! follows Bong's journey through the everyday ups and downs of living in New York, particularly highlighting his fails - sometimes cry-worthy, sometimes cringe-worthy, always laugh-worthy. From botched "OkCupid" dates ending in total memory loss, to uniquely disastrous encounters with the city's finest denizens of the streets, Flop! is a collection of stories that reflect everyday life in New York set to the tune of some of Broadway's biggest busts, including Coco, Bonnie & Clyde, Oh, Brother!, Carrie, Subways Are for Sleeping, Smash, Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson and more.

Bong lends a unique wit, a sharp tongue, and commanding vocals to this hilarious yet touching show, which he describes as "A valentine to any and all who've had magical New York moments. You know the ones: the epically ridiculous 'hashtag fail' moments that make you want to laugh and cry at the same time." He continued, "Not every show on Broadway succeeds and not every experience in New York has been a success for me, either. But rather than shy away from my flops, I'm owning them."

Bong is a seasoned performer, who will appear in two feature films slated for release in the coming year, including the reboot of classic musical "Annie" starring Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz. He has also toured nationally in The Music Man, and shared the stage with some of Broadway's most renowned performers including: Elizabeth Ward Land (Memphis, The Scarlet Pimpernel), Kevin Ligon (Phantom of the Opera, Bullets Over Broadway), Vince Oddo (Rocky), and Carrie A. Johnson (Sister Act). He is also a company member of Oh What a Night!: A Tribute to Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons, which travels worldwide in high velocity falsettos and matching suits.

Bong, who is also an Artist-In-Residence at the Brickhouse Theater Company in Pennsylvania added that "Flop! reminds us all that life's ridiculous curve balls and challenges can be met with laughter, joy, and a bit of good old-fashioned wit."

Brad Bong is a New York-based actor known for his work in groundbreaking real-life comedic roles including "A waiter" at Robert Restaurant, "Starving Artist" in Washington Heights, and "Snark-In-Residence" at the Occasionally Unemployed Actors Collective. New York credits include the world premier of Fabulous!, the Musical, Babes at Sea, and Into the Glade (extra points if you've heard of one of these!).

Flop! will play at The Metropolitan Room for one night only on December 8th, 9:30 PM
