54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents Elena Shaddow in "Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway" on January 3, 2015. Possessing one of the most beautiful voices in theater today, Elena has had the good fortune to perform the works-on Broadway and regionally- of her favorite contemporary composers, to whom she pays tribute in this show Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway.

Tired of hearing "Broadway is dead" and "People don't like legit singers," and with some time off because of a cancelled gig, Elena Shaddow has decided to put a stop to that hyperbole with her debut 54 Below solo show, "ALWAYS BETTER: THE NEW GOLDEN AGE OF BROADWAY," January 3. The 9:30pm concert, devised by Elena, Robbie Rozelle and musical director Georgia Stitt, features a cross-section of exciting composers from the last twenty-five years including Stephen Sondheim, Stephen Schwartz, Adam Guettel, Jason Robert Brown, Adam Overett and features special guest Caitlin Kinnunen (The Bridges of Madison County). This concert debuted at 54 Below in September 2014 to a sold-out house and rave reviews.

Elena Shaddow in "Always Better: The New Golden Age of Broadway" plays 54 Below (254 West 54th Street) on January 3, 2015 at 9:30pm. There is a $30-$60 cover charge and $25 food and beverage minimum. Tickets and information are available at www.54Below.com. Tickets on the day of performance after 4:00 are only available by calling (646) 476-3551.

Elena recently played Sister Sophia in the NBC live television event The Sound of Music, and originated the role of Francesca in The Bridges of Madison County. Her Broadway credits include Anne Dindon in La Cage Aux Folles, The Woman in White, Fiddler on the Roof, Nine, Sweet Smell of Success, and Les Miserables. She starred as Fanny in Fanny at City Center Encores, played Magnolia in Showboat at the Royal Albert Hall, and received a Helen Hayes Best Actress nomination for playing Clara in the first national tour of The Light in the Piazza.
