Donny Most And Elijah Rock to Celebrate The Crooners

By:

Donny Most And Elijah Rock to Celebrate The Crooners ImageWhether performing Sinatra, Dino or Duke Ellington, Donny Most carries each note with full grace and energy. Actor/Singer/Writer/Producer/Dancer and self-proclaimed "Artrepreneur" Elijah Rock has left few stones unturned in his quest for performance art excellence. Together, they Celebrate The Classic Crooners.

Donny Most (http://www.donnymost.com) is probably best known for his role as Ralph Malph in the decade running television series "Happy Days." But his first love is music. Donny truly has great vocal chops and he has a wonderful way of delivering each standard in a way that no one else can. Don has been touring throughout the U.S. with his band performing his Sings and Swings: Sinatra, Dino, Darin & More show. He recently released his new CD, Mostly Swinging.

Elijah Rock (http://www.elijahrock.com) has dedicated himself to upholding and aligning himself with the first class carriage and aesthetic of timeless entertainment, carrying the blazing torch for the legacy of The Great American Songbook. Gershwin For My Soul is the Cleveland-born baritone's brand new critically acclaimed album. Rock travelled to Thailand to star and make his directorial debut in a gorgeous music video for the lead single/title track "Gershwin For My Soul" that is bringing a sensual touch of class to video outlets around the globe.

Catalina Bar & Grill is one of Los Angeles' mainstay jazz clubs, even if it's housed in a decidedly non-glamorous red-brick edifice that looks like a generic Hollywood office building. Once you're inside, though, after entering through the garage in back, the spacious room is more inviting, with tables decked out in elegant white tablecloths pressed up against a low stage in front of a red velvet curtain. The walls are tastefully decorated with paintings and photos of legendary jazz musicians, and the longtime venue has hosted Chick Corea, Ella Fitzgerald, McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Scott, Pharoah Saunders, Jane Monheit, Roy Hargrove, Carmen McRae, Joe Zawinul, Joshua Redman, the Marsalis brothers, and an impressive variety of stellar Carters (Ron, Betty, Benny and even Wonder Woman's Lynda). In recent years, the focus has mostly been on mainstream jazz acts and Broadway pop vocalists. Be aware that the combined admission, valet parking, drink and cover minimums can be quite pricey. All ages. Full bar.
