On Monday, December 15, Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage in San Diego is presenting Broadway's Chondra Profit in "A Jazzed up Christmas."

Currently appearing as Sarabi in Disney's The Lion King on Broadway, Profit will present an evening of holiday music including standard and not-so-standard, "jazzed up" versions of classic Christmas songs ranging from Donny Hathaway's This Christmas to Mariah Carey's All I want For Christmas. The show, A Jazzed Up Christmas, features direction by Derrick Davis with music direction and vocal arrangements by Brian Whitted. No stranger to the genre of Jazz, Chondra made her NYC Metropolitan Room debut earlier this year with A Jazzed Up Woman, an evening of jazzy renditions of some of her favorite songs. Profit will be appearing for a one-night only performance on Monday, December 15 at 8:00 pm.

Chondra is a graduate of The San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA) and holds a BFA from The American Music of Dramatic Academy of the Arts (AMDA). Her most recent theatrical work includes Disney's The Lion King, Broadway (Sarabi/Nala understudy), national tours of Jingle Bell Rock (Lead Vocalist), I Choose (Mrs. G), regional productions of A Chorus Line (Sheila), Aida (Nehebka), Ragtime (Sarah's Friend), Once on This Island (Timoune), and international touring with Ebony Fashion Fair (Commentator).

Profit devotes much of her time to social activism. In 2013, Chondra took a break from performing to donate her bone marrow in an attempt to save the life of a child diagnosed with leukemia. She regularly raises her voice in support of the LGBT community through numerous appearances at fundraisers and events in the greater NYC area including Broadway Sings for Pride, Broadway Serves, Broadway Battles Bullying, Broadway supports ASPCA and Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS.

Chondra recently performed at The Million Kids March in Washington, DC in October 2014 and is currently working on original music for her second album.

Doors open at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $20 plus a $15 food/beverage minimum. Purchase tickets online at www.ma4sd.com. Martinis Above Fourth Table + Stage is located at 3940 Fourth Avenue, 2nd Floor, San Diego, CA 92103. For more information, visit www.ma4sd.com.
