Bryce Pinkham and More Join BROADWAY SINGS ITS HEART OUT Tonight at Joe's Pub

By:

The Tony-nominated co-star of A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, Bryce Pinkham, will co-host Broadway Sings Its Heart Out tonight with Jake Lacy, known for his portrayal of Pete Miller on NBC's "The Office," and as co-star of this summer's acclaimed film Obvious Child and upcoming star on HBO's "Girls".

Broadway Sings Its Heart Out is a one-night-only, star-studded concert benefitting Zara Aina -- the organization founded by Mr. Pinkham and Lucas Rooney that offers children in Madagascar the tools to succeed as students and storytellers by delivering school supplies to their villages and producing their original works of theatre.

Broadway Sings Its Heart Out will take place tonight, July 28, 2014 at Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street), and will feature performances by an array of Broadway stars including Adriane Lenox, Laura Osnes, Jacob Ming-Trent, Kate Schutt, Griffin Matthews, Matt Gould, the cast of Witness Uganda, and Pinkham's A Gentleman's Guide To Love and Murder co-stars Lisa O'Hare and Lauren Worsham.

There will be a VIP reception beginning at 6:00 p.m., ahead of a 7:00 p.m. performance (doors for the performance will open at 6:30 p.m.).

Tickets (Standard Seating: $100 / Premium Seating: $250) are available via The Public Theater website or by calling (212) 967-7555. All proceeds will benefit Zara Aina. Donors can also make a tax deductible donation to Zara Aina through its fiscal sponsor, Fractured Atlas, or donate directly through its website, www.zaraaina.org.

About Zara Aina: Zara Aina is a group of theatre artists that offers children in Madagascar the tools to succeed as students and story tellers by delivering school supplies to their villages and by producing their original works of theatre. By partnering with Akany Fitahiana, Zara Aina brings at risk youth of Antananarivo together with an international coalition of theatre professionals to create an original piece of physical theatre based in Malagasy folktales. This collaboration culminates in a tour of Madagascar, during which the children will deliver educational aid (notebooks, pens, and other sorely lacking supplies) and culturally relevant performances to communities in peril. By placing the children at the center of the creative process, Zara Aina seeks to amplify their means of expression, expand their potential for achievement, and improve their attitude towards learning. Visit www.zaraaina.org for more information.
