Ugly Sweater Productions presents the Second Annual UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CABARET on Monday, December 16th at 9:30 pm at The Duplex. A benefit for the 25th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive, the cabaret will be hosted by Vanessa Hidary, aka "The Hebrew Mamita", and will feature Bobby Cronin, Catherine Porter, Frank Pizzaro, Wayne Miller and Cheo Bourne of pop vocal group The Platters, Erik Sisco, Fiona Pui Shan Hui, Brett Dameron, Maria Maloney and Alison Rose Munn. Kimberly Faith Hickman directs, with musical direction by William Demaniow.

The annual New York Cares Coat Drive is currently experiencing a shortage. More than 97,000 coats have been requested this season. NY Cares has a goal to collect 100,000 coats this winter, but thus far only 8,500 have been donated. The UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CABARET is an effort by New York theatre professionals to collect coats for this important cause. Rather than charging a ticket price, admission is a donated coat and a two drink minimum. Proceeds go to benefit the New York Cares Coat Drive.

Founded by Alison Rose Munn and Kiwi Callahan, Ugly Sweater Productions (Where Concerts and Charity Collide) was created in 2012. Previous benefit concerts include the first UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER CABARET coat drive for New York Cares and OFF THE RECORD: A CELEBRATION OF THE MAGICAL MUSIC OF DISNEY book drive for Project Cicero.
