In a slew of recent event cancellations, the next installment of the BROADWAY SINGS concert series is relocating due to a recent reception hosted by the venue's owners for Republican Presidential candidate and vocal anti-gay politician Ted Cruz. Last week, it was revealed that Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass, owners of The OUT Hotel, had hosted Senator Cruz at their Manhattan penthouse for a "dinner and 'fireside chat,'" as reported by the New York Times. Broadway Sings Bruno Mars, originally scheduled to take place at 8:30 PM on May 17th at 42West in The OUT Hotel, will now take place at The Cutting Room, at the same time and date.

"The BROADWAY SINGS series has been a creative outlet for hundreds of Broadway performers, including many members of the LGBTQ community. We look to foster an inclusive, creative, space that promotes the equal rights of all people. We feel hosting this installment of the series at 42West would be in conflict with this goal. As such, we have decided to relocate to The Cutting Room, where we guarantee an equally exciting show celebrating the hits of Bruno Mars!", said series producer Corey Mach. Previously purchased tickets for the event will be automatically transferred over to The Cutting Room.

Other events have been cancelled at The OUT Hotel this month, including the annual Broadway Bares: Solo Strips fundraiser for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the New York City Gay Men's Chorus annual spring garden party fundraiser.

BROADWAY SINGS is the acclaimed concert series that takes a pop icon and flips their music to create brand new, unique arrangements and orchestrations. The previous sold-out shows included Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyoncé, Stevie Wonder, Amy Winehouse, Justin Timberlake, and P!NK. Broadway Sings Bruno Mars boasts a cast of 18 Broadway performers accompanied by a 14-piece band. The series is produced/directed by Corey Mach (Wicked, Godspell) with musical direction by Joshua Stephen Kartes. More info about the series can be found on their website: www.broadwaysingsconcert.com

Performers include Nick Rashad Burroughs (Kinky Boots), Steel Burkhardt (Aladdin, Hair), Gerard Canonico (American Idiot, Spring Awakening), Alison Case (Hands on a Hardbody, Hair), Corey Cott (Gigi, Newsies), Ariana DeBose (Pippin, Bring It On the Musical), John Arthur Greene (Matilda the Musical, West Side Story), Lena Hall (Hedwig, Kinky Boots), Allison Luff (Matilda the Musical, Mamma Mia!), Corey Mach (Hands on a Hardbody, Godspell), Abby Mueller (Kinky Boots), Gabrielle Reid (Beautiful, Hairspray), Zak Resnick (Mamma Mia!), Joey Taranto (Kinky Boots, Rock of Ages), Marisha Wallace (Aladdin, Something Rotten), Michael Wartella (Wicked), Anita Welch (Bubble Boy), Alan Wiggins (Beautiful, The Lion King), and Jared Zirilli (Lysistrata Jones).

Bruno Mars, as a performer, writer and producer, has sold more than 130 million singles, making him one of the world's best selling artists. Five of his singles landed on the Billboard Hot 100 since 2010, faster than any other male singer since Elvis Presley. He has received two Grammy Awards and was named one of Time Magazine's 100 most influential people in the world in 2011.

For tickets to the show, visit www.thecuttingroomnyc.com. Tickets are $30 standing, $40 seated, or $20 standing with a student ID (at the door only). $75 VIP tickets are also available, which includes a meet and greet after the show.
