Alysha Umphress Returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko

Fresh off her critically-acclaimed performance in the New York revival of Smokey Joe's Cafe, Broadway darlingAlysha Umphress returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko with her all-new show, Alysha Umphress is Alysha Umphress on Friday, April 12 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, April 13 at 8 p.m. Alysha will perform a wide range of material-from Dinah Washington to Bernstein to Looking Glass-all infused with her jazz-edged unique lyrical interpretation. Alysha Umphress made a splash on Broadway as the man-hungry cab driver, 'Hildy,' in the recent Broadway revival of On the Town. A San Francisco native and graduate of the Ruth Asawa School of the Arts, Umphress made her Broadway debut in Green Day's American Idiot and has also appeared on Broadway in On A Clear Day You Can See Forever with Harry Connick Jr. and Jessie Mueller, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, and Bring it On!. She recently played the role of Ruth Sherwood in Wonderful Town with the London Symphony Orchestra which was recorded on the LSO label and is available on iTunes. Television credits include "Law and Order SVU," "Nurse Jackie," "Royal Pains" and, most recently, she starred as 'Misty' on the "The Climb" for Amazon.

Located within Hotel Nikko (222 Mason Street, San Francisco), Feinstein's at the Nikko presents a wide range of entertainers from stage and screen all within an intimate 140-seat cabaret setting. Past performers include Tony Danza, Lea Salonga, Megan Hilty, Minnie Driver, Jeff Goldblum, Billy Porter, Betty Buckley, Caissie Levy, Darren Criss, Megan Mullally and Stephanie Hunt, Jim Brickman, Kathleen Turner, Linda Eder, Cheyenne Jackson, Rita Moreno, Tommy Tune...and Michael Feinstein himself!

There is a $20 food and beverage minimum per person inside the showroom which guests can use towards cocktails as well as a variety of small plates crafted exclusively for Feinstein's at the Nikko, through Restaurant Anzu. Cheese and dessert platters will also be available in the showroom.
