Adrienne Haan, one of Europe's and America's most electrifying concert and cabaret stars, will debut her new show, Rock le Cabaret!, a rock version of French chansons newly arranged for Haan and her five piece rock band at the Cutting Room, 44 East 32nd Street, New York City today, April 18 at 4pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the show, with a $20 food/drink minimum, and can be purchased online, by phone at 212 691 1900, or in person at The Cutting Room box office.

A Robert R. Blume (Drama Desk Awards) production, Rock Le Cabaret! takes French chansons by Jacques Brel, Edith Piaf and Charles Aznavour, and adds an all new modern interpretation with a five-piece rock band. Known for her "great voice" and as a "great entertainer," Haan's musical love story combines commentary and anecdotes that have made history inspired by the lyrics of these musical gems along with insights of her own. Ms. Haan's rock band includes two of Germany's top jazz artists, pianist Laia Genc, and drummer Ralf Gessler, along with guitarist Braden Palmer, a founding member of the New York based swing band Double Down, bassist Adam Kabak, who has performed with greats such as Bobby Watson, Victor Lewis, Oleg Butman, Wynton Marsalis and George Cables, and highly regarded New York based performer, arranger and composer Kyle Schweizer on tenor sax and keyboards.

Hailed as "an all-round entertainer of the highest caliber," award-winning Adrienne Haan's diverse repertoire ranges from chanson to jazz, blues, klezmer and Broadway, and she has a special passion for the music of the 1920s and 30s. Recent and upcoming engagements include Haan's debut with the Jerusalem Symphony and The Israel Netanya Orchestra, as well as appearances with the WDR Rundfunkorchester and Vince Giordano & The Nighthawks among others. Haan will make her Carnegie Hall debut in October 2015 with her production of Tehora. The Carnegie concert is in celebration of the 50th anniversary of German-Israeli diplomatic relations in New York. Additional New York engagements include a concert for the Mabel Mercer Cabaret Foundation and at the Ellington Center for the Arts in a special Duke Ellington 115th birthday celebration. This spring she will also appear at the Neue Galerie's Cafe? Sabarsky.

Her latest CD Berlin, Mon Amour, hailed as "engaging and unique," is a tribute to 1920s and 30s Germany. Earlier recordings include I Could Have Danced All Night, and Born to Entertain. Adrienne serves on the Board of the Duke Ellington Center For The Arts in NYC and as a cultural ambassador, she has performed at the Luxembourg and German Embassies in Washington, DC, and German Consulate of New York.
