FEINSTEIN'S/54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "An Evening of Intimate Jazz with 5th Avenue".

5th Avenue, a unique jazz trio consisting of saxophone, acoustic bass and drums, is proud to bring their celebration of Intimate Jazz to Feinstein's/54 Below! Directed and produced by saxophonist Ken Cicerale, An Evening of Intimate Jazz with 5th Avenue is an elegant presentation of original jazz compositions as well as jazz classics and selections from The Great American Songbook. An Evening of Intimate Jazz is a must not only for jazz aficionados, but for a much wider audience of eclectic musical tastes in a warmly entertaining presentation. MORE ABOUT 5th Avenue

Cicerale is a former student of legendary saxophonists Gerry Niewood and Frank Foster. For many years has performed as both leader and sideman with various jazz and pop ensembles. Appearing mainly in the greater New York area, Ken has also toured with several nationally known artists. Recordings include "Musings," an album with guitarist Monroe Quinn, as well as 2 solo LPs entitled "Soliloquies" and "Abstractions". Ken has composed and performed incidental music to the highly acclaimed Off-Broadway set of short plays, "Close Enough for Jazz" and done original music and sound design for the Possum Point Players' production of "A Raisin In the Sun" in Georgetown, Delaware. Originally from Newark, New Jersey, Ken has lived most of his adult life in Staten Island, New York and Stratford, Connecticut. He currently resides in Georgetown, Delaware.

Cooper has been a professional bassist his entire adult life. From jazz to rock, classical to pop and musical theatre, has performed at the Kennedy Center, National and Ford theaters, Wolf Trap Center for the Performing Arts, and in Baltimore at the Hippodrome Theater. His variety band, Tuxedo Junction, performed extensively at Presidential Balls, corporate and private parties, weddings, and society galas throughout the Washington DC metropolitan area. In 2005, began his Broadway career as principal bassist for The Woman in White, LoveMusik, Ragtime and Evita. In 2016 expanded his musical talents with his jazz-influenced duo Notes on the Beach, playing at Rehoboth, Bethany, and Ocean City restaurants, clubs, and private events. A native of Washington, DC, is a graduate of the prestigious Peabody Conservatory of Music in Baltimore, MD.

Ken Schleifer is a lifelong professional drummer, percussionist and vocalist. Ken has had the great opportunity to perform all over the East Coast in many musical groups. He has played in small jazz ensembles, big bands, in classic rock and modern rock bands, been part of R&B, blues and Latin groups as well as contemporary pop bands. At this time, however, Ken is very happy to be back furthering his passion for jazz, playing with 5th Avenue trio.
